they are insane. wonderfully creative rock band. these cats should be getting more airplay, not that incubus/POD/blink182 shite that turned me away from radio.

why dont you like incubus? I think they're really good!
POD, blink182, etc. etc. are all awful, basically music for the middle/high school crowd.

incubus is terrible. they started as a hardcore korn like band when they were younger. the singer even had the same dreads that the singer from korn had. all incubus do is sing shitty poetry over bad music IMO. never liked them, and cant find anything good about them. boring music with bad lyrics. GHEY. but im only one person and MTV has brainwashed millions into liking them. if you never haerd of them and were at a bar and they came on the stage , most ppl would walk out.

no, not really, thier first album, i bought it, kinda liked it, but eh. wasnt enamored.

for current rock bands, im all about TOOL, and his side prodject. they are so intuitivly creative and deep. melodies from deep within. and just a driving feeling. also, i cant argue with pearl jam. and im the Pearl jam fan who likes thier later material more than the first two albums. sonic youth, some older sepultura, pantera after cowboys, and some more. personally, i find too much fluff in todays rock and obviously you can see, while ppl like tool and pearl jam get big headlines in the news, you will rarely see them sell themselves on TRL, radio interviews and the such. s0o many more, i did some studio sit ins with Brand New cuz thier drummer is house mates with my friend adam. their first album fell flat for me, it was trying to be punk/emo too hard, but thier second album was really good for my tastes, particularly because i saw it develop into what it became. a really good rock album with tastes in some underground genres. also i cant argue with bouncing souls, NOFX and some of the other punk bands of old. actually im going to the bouncing souls show in NYC soon.

Haven't been following SY for ages although I own all the albums up until The Screaming Fields of Sonic Love. Imo one of he best bands ever!

Thanks for the update ano. How's that album compared to Washing Machine?

You guys talking about SY and Pearl Jam remind that I never posted about the Tool/Deftones/Alice In Chains show I went about 3 weeks ago.

About Alice In Chains, all I can say is that if you like their stuff, DON´T miss the chance to see them.

I was totally surprised by their show, really tight musicians(Jerry Cantrell is one of the best guitarists of his generation) and their new singer has a brilliant voice, similar to Layne, I´d even say his voice is more powerful, though it may not have as much personality as Layne´s. But it doesn´t detract at all from the music. A group of people in the crowd had made a huge banner saying "ALICE IN CHAINS - BORN AGAIN", which the band showed at the end...man, it game me a huge chill down me spine.
