it had been coming for a long time, lets face it after the eighties and the decline of the older generation supporting pop music as a whole totp's veiwing rating must of hit the floor, watching it briefly recently it had more or less turned into a severe cheese fest from its hay day in the 80's ( and thats a bad thing because u know what it was like in the 80's lol ) imho i think this is a measure of the decrease in popularity in pop music as a whole over the past decade or 2

Yeah it will be missed but i suppose Sky Digital ruined TOTP's with its 20+ music channels.. bummer.

No great loss IMO, haven't watched it in years, sick of all the manufactured pop about these days - or should I say manufactured R n B cos that's all I hear on the radio anymore

i remember seeing the cult, the smiths, depeche mode, stone roses on TOTP.

the best one had to be nirvana when dave grohl was pretending to hit the drums because it was all recorded, then kurt eating the microphone. at the time, it was classic.
