Excellent article, however, progressive only dies if you don't continue to support it, and you take the proper steps to help it survive. He could easily heed his own words and do exactly what James does if he actually does care about the music.

Progressive will only survive if it doesn't suck. And at the moment it's boring people all over the world.
It needs more energy and about 3 minutes cut from almost every track.
I love good progressive DJ's and tracks, but they are few and far between.Comment

Nah, 90% of trance doesn't do it for me either, not because it lacks energy, but because it sucks. If I find a good trance track, I'll play that and not be one bit embarassed about it. I'm not too cool for trance.
My solution is to mix it up with different genres. Clearing dancefloors with bog prog is getting old.Comment
