Well for ?17- I'd expect better. You only need to hear some of the 100s of recorded mixes available to know it should have been of higher quality, especially when planned well in advance.

thats what depeche mode is doing in his live concerts, you pre order your "original copy" of the live set youre about to witness, 30 days later they send you this original copy...

Isn't there an error on the tracklist for CD1. I'm sure there's another track before My Blue Car thats not listed on there. Its a really familiar one too, can't for the life of me remember the name of the track.....

whatever sasha puts out....is still light years ahead of any dj on the planet. He is mr consistency and he sets the standard. He probably doesn't want to play peak time stuff on purpose because there aren't many quality tracks around.

Anyway, sasha's cds are always worth it because of his re-edits so there's always something new.

For those who didn't like it, give it a couple more plays...it will grow on you and you'll begin to understand it. Sasha is a genius, his sets from years back still sound good because when he plays them, they are way ahead of their time.

I recommend you listen to it on a good sound system or on high end headphones with software like windvd which has dolby headphone plugin. Bass is round, sound is warm, and the clarity is tops. The crowd noise adds to the atmosphere but at the same time it takes nothing from the music.

the cds sound more like a teaser (as always during the early hours of a sasha set - the idea is teasing the crowd), I'm sure that the last hours of his avalon set were full of peak-time stuff and future dancefloor hits.

What bugs me though is that the official traclist's got Gebrunn Gebrunn listed as Tatü-Tata. Wtf?

Sorry to hack up a really old thread.

I bought this in HMV the other week. I notice that on the official tracklist the 2nd tomiee nevada track on cd1 isnt listed?

Anyway, it's a decent CD with some good tracks on, some poor ones. Top track is probably Gus Gus or the Minilogue & KAB track, both on disc 2.

Nowhere near San Fran or ibiza but this is 2006 I guess.

Some tracks I just don't get - My Bleep - wtf is that all about, I am seeing that in shit loads of dj's tracklists - why?
