my [ms] is all messed up =/

ok, whichever topic i click on to view or reply, it says:

Could not retrieve word matches

and all the icons i see are red x's. all icons to the left of topic titles are x's, emoticons too
also everything is way out of proportion size wise, really wide and spread out :S
i have not been on for awhile, so .. did i miss an update or download or something?
