When Undermine Records teamed up with Jive Magazine to host "The
Initial State Remix Contest", I don't think anyone expected the
response. With over 80 registered participants and quality submissions
coming in daily, finding a Winning Remix was a challenge.
Aftrer the long awaited deadline for submissions, Jonathan and
Undermine's Production Staff listened to every single mix and were able
to slim it down to four finalists. The four finalists were notified
and the anticipation began for the announcement of the winner.
Effero's Remix was just so enjoyable he was announced as the Winning
Remixer. Going into the contest, no prizes were announced for the
Winning Remixer beside the accompaniement of their mix on the release
of the Original Single, but we like to reward people who do great
things and teamed up with Beatport to secure a $50 gift card and
special Beatport Gift Pak for Effero.
Jonathan Allyn, "Initial State" and the Effero Remix will be
available as a Beatport
Exclusive on July 25th followed by a review of the single in
