    How is Anthony Pappa these days?

    Been a while since I caught him. He's playing here next Saturday. Hope he hasn't caved in to the electroshite.

          Last time I saw him (which was earlier in the year) he was awesome.... and he was still fat yes.

                                  Please tell me you're kidding ...

                                  Incidentally Mercury Nation was streaming a set of his from April, didn't sound too bad. But once he's built up the set and decided it was time to tear it up, it got too messy. He's got a tendency to rev it up.

                                                  I thought he was too banging. Not much progression. Nothing to report about. I didn't think there was any finesse in Pappa's set, but the crowd loves the energy, they were bouncing all over the place. I'm not sure if it's the crowd here lapping up banging music or the warmup DJ's fault, but a lot of guest DJs who play at Zouk don't build a set. They take over the decks and proceed to demolish the floor at the expense of the progression.
