alas, like said on the previous page, let iran become involved mlitarily. there isnt a member nation within the UN outside of a few middle eastern countries that wouldnt hesitate to bring a vast might of a united military operation upon iran. they would love to rid the world of amenijhad (spelling i know) and the puppet master ayatollahs who seek to send this world into a dark age, regressing human and religous rights, quieting science in the name of faith, and willing to violently exert thier viewpoints and influence upon groups who disagree.

I'm sure a lot of statesmen have wet dreams about that and it would free the world of a lot of shit. But I'm also sure that if it was as simple as you present it, the Iranian nuclear programme would be long burried. Don't forget Russia and China (both permanent members of the Security Council) still have good (oil fueled) relations with Teheran.

1. I still think you're entitled to have your opinion yes. But that doesn't mean I have to agree with it (and vice versa). And as far as I know I haven't told you to stfu...

2. As far as I know I haven't said that you ARE naive. I only said you WERE BEING naive by saying that one thing you said about the parents. So read it as "imo you've made a naive statement", that's what I meant. Maybe I've expressed myself poorly.

3. I didn't say you were stampeding through this thread at all. It was a general remark not an attack and certainly not a personal one.

4. You not agreeing on something doesn't change anything in a negative way. Hell, this thread would be boring as hell if everyone had the same opinion

The blown up van in the picture wasn't an army truck and neither was it loaded with explosives or any logisitical support for Hezbollah. It was a truck which was evacuating civilians out of a (Hezbollah stronghold) village which was being bombarded.

Just playing devil's advocate, but like Evangelion said, how do you know this? Do you have a source on the ground that saw them loading up the van? Did this source check out the van to make sure there was no explosives on it? I'm not saying it wasn't just evacuating civilians, but no one can really be sure, unless they were there first hand. For all you really know, that dead baby could have been photoshopped into the picture.

How can Israiel have a measured response and achieve anything? Where in life does a proportionate response work well? Hezbollah must be made to understand that any transgression will result in a ten fold response, else they will not be discouraged from repeating their transgressions in the future.

as of right now, isreal is ammassing a troop buildup on the border. and suddenly, lebanese leadership is opening thier mouth. also, im kinda scared when the fuckwad cleric who runs this evil group says "we have surprises in store''. ehhh.

my father and my boss both think there is going to be a massive large scale, high powered bombing within isreal in the upcoming weeks, so much so, that my boss has brought his family over to america for awhile.

even more frightening, but without merit yet is that a few people are talking about how iran was at NK's missle test. NK has nukes. and an equal hatred of democracy and progression. gah, could you imagine if iran quietly gave a small yeild weapon to hezzbollah.

Another unknown stat is how many Hezbollah are hiding among the general populace in Beirut. Another stat is how many Israelis have been saved by having bomb shelters to take cover in. How many would have been killed if they didn't have them...hundreds at very least. I mean, Hezbollah is randomly shooting rockets into Israeli cities. Are any of these factors weighing into your stats? Yes, the death toll is very lop-sided, but I don't think Israel's actions are the sole reason.

I heard the news of the van being hit on the radio. Happened a couple of days ago. The pics I found on a site which calls for the protection of civilians in Lebanon the same nights or the day after, can't say exactly.

Now if that van was packed with explosives, there wouldn't be anything left of it. So fake pic? Nah, I don't think so. Btw, they don't use PS but Corelbollah FatwaPaint
