i find it god dam disturbing that kids are signing bombs that are killing people, those kids are growing up with a hate ingrained in them from an early age, thats fuckin harsh man, @ that rate the troubles/hate will never have a chance to die because generation after generation is just growing up with the same hate

enough of the pics. if they didnt know by now to get out, they are either too dumb or hezzbollah supports and the world is better off. isreal has been dropping pamplets telling them what isreal was gonna do.

if you live in south florida on the beach in late summer, then usually you will go get a hotel inland if you know another katrina is gonna hit. if you stay.... well .... see above^

Yeah, they also live in a part of the world that hates them before they are even born...and hates them only for being born. Which is worse??

It bemuses me that all the attrocoties in African states (congo,sudan etc) that have been raging over tha past few years (and historically much longer) hardly get mentioned in western media - but as soon as its its Israel-Lebanon-Iran then its all over the place.

A child dieing due to conflict in the mideast is is no more or no less repugnant - than a child dieing in African states.

IT WAS exactly 6am and the start of another blisteringly hot summer day when 16-year-old Atefeh Rajabi was dragged from her prison cell and taken to be executed.

Every step of the way the troubled teenager plagued by mental problems shouted "repentance, repentance" as the militiamen marched her to the town's Railway Square.

The Iranian judge who had sentenced Atefeh to death was left unmoved as he personally put the noose around her neck and signalled to the crane driver.

Kicking and screaming, Atefeh was left dangling for 45 minutes from the arm of the crane as the crowd sobbed and - under their breath - damned the mullahs.

Atefeh's crime? Offending public morality. She was found guilty of "acts incompatible with chastity" by having sex with an unmarried man, even though friends say Atefeh was in such a fragile mental state that she wasn't in a position to say no.

But Judge Haji Rezaii was determined she should hang, regardless of the rules of international law which say only adults over 18 can be executed, and that the courts have a duty to children and the mentally ill.


The brutal end to Atefeh's short life has shone a new light on Iran's Shariah law, where adultery, theft and rape all carry the same punishment - death. Officially around 100 people - some just children like Atefeh - are executed each year. But human rights groups say the true figure could be much higher in a country where only half of the women can read, only one in 10 have a job and two-thirds are beaten in their homes.

Two arguments here - take your pick:

1: It is fair that a British (French, German, American, etc, etc) media service should target it's reporting at issues that most affect its readers and viewers, and I think it's safe to say that the Israel-Lebanon conflict has more potential to affect the western world than a war in Central Africa (no I'm not saying so therefore it's of no importance at all). Other wars aren't left unreported, but, no, they're not splashed daily across our newspapers.

2: Those little countries in the middle of Africa don't have OIL or NUKES. Also, their royal families don't own huge amounts of American stock. Some of the Arab countries that Isreal is getting itself involved in do. Enough said!

that and the fact that they have absolutely nothing to offer any other country. i mean nothing. there arent any economies to invest, no national products, no strategic value. all they offer is a giant mess of political , enviornmental, and humanitarian disasters.
