eh religion, IMHO, is a good thing. however, in the last few years, its been hijacked and targeted. we arent targeting muslims. we are going after people who think they have the right to kill others

anything that brings people together in celebration, unites a community or gives hope to people isnt really a negative. go check out a baptist church. i did. i was amazed to see a group of people from 9 years old to 90 having a blast, and showing love to each other.

but honestly.... I dont buy that for 2 seconds, yes my "scientific" side says there's not God and hence Religion is loosely created to control the weak, which is true for the most part, but I dont consider myself a weak minded person and while I dont STRICTLY follow my religion (i.e. eat steak, fast, etc.) I have a religious side that still makes me want to pray to the big man up there before I start anything important in life. So I would say I do have a religious side to myself.

So for Mr. MidWestern born steak chomping BBQ grillin kinda man who's spent a good bit of his life in showbiz slam dunkin others, I wont' take his word for it (esp if he is not a religious person).

Yeah, my parents are christian, i don't think they're weak minded. For me tho, (and i won't elaborate on this as to not hijack this thread any further- although everyone is repeating themselves now anyway by page 21) i have no use for religion. I think it causes more segregation and harm than good. Spirituality is a good thing, but noone needs a book and set of rules and a man from the clouds to be spiritual. Christianity and Islam are equally retarted to me. To each his own tho.

I do think though that faith has alot of power, sadly at the moment we see hate faith producing sucide bombers rather than Mother Thresa.

once and for all, they are standing up for themselves, rather than looking elsewhere, and playing the poor me card. sadly, it is taking violence. but how far can a society be pushed before it pushes back. they have been pushed out of every region that now incorporates iran, turkey, the 3 countries between the black and caspian sea, all the way south to egypt and into saudi arabia. yes, at one point in history prior to 600 AD, the jews lived there. now, along the lines of these events, the christians are being pushed out as well in the southern regions. wait until they get pissed. they dont flee, they crusade.

but what they dont tell you is that the militants and thier supporters actually opt to bring the children along to make us say "they are killing inncocent". if you send your kid into a warzone, dont be angry when the guy sitting next to them holding a bazooka has a 1100 pound bomb dropped on his van. CNN had one of thier reporters behind the line with hamas and they actually bring scores of chilren around with them while they attack people. call it training on their behlf.
