According to the opening intro to his Essential Mix from 2002, from his own mouth he pronounced it "Zab-ee-la". I'd call that direct information from source.

English is not my 1st language, but according to all the phonetics of the language that I?ve heard, that seems to be the most logical answer.

In portuguese it?d be literally "zaa-bee-ehlah"

Digweed announces quite a few DJ names quite odd. Master of all times still is Buster from the former Global DJ Party 93.1 live broadcasts from Space for me..this guy is unbeatable with his announcements and name dropping.
