i know some people that do this as well. and one of them is really terrible at spinning, cant beatmatch worth a lick, let alone play two records that even sound like they might go together. it's a pain in the ass because he is my friend, but it's hard to build something when someone steps in and kills the direction you were originally going for.

a couple weeks ago when i was playing a club out in Salt Lake City this one girl kept coming up to me telling me to play more "energetic" after telling her "i'll try" several times she finally asked me if i could play anything from Mtv. i lost all cool at that point and replied with: "Mtv are you fucking kidding me!" she walked away at that point, only to come back a few minutes later to tell me how much i sucked.

i know because he "thinks" that he can spin because he locked one in ONE time at a party. even when i tell him that he's terrible he still thinks he's okay. you know it's bad when people that don't even listen to house music are cringing when you're in the mix.

Seriously, I'm not even contemplating letting someone having a go while I'm in the zone, only DJ friends that relate to my style and are worth 2 farts behind the decks.... Wanna DJ? Buy your own decks, get really good at it and get asked to play at gigs. Otherwise I'm gonna assume you're no good anyway....
