Hmmm, interesting. Could this mark the beginning of a change of stance on behalf of the record companies. Probably not anytime soon, but you never know.
they are just trying to get people to listen to her music. the better option is to have her naked on the cover of the CD. That might sell better.

I think the goal is to get people to associate coping with the horror of Jessica Simpsons music, sort of a pavlonian response. Then the next time you try to copy something, you will think of her album and instantly become ill.
