**Note: We are archiving all of our shows. As soon as they are available online you will know.

    This Week's Guest:
    RBDJ (RBDJ.com / H20 Productions / Friction)

Like countless other grade scholars in the world, RBDJ was given an opportunity to experiment with music. Torn between brass and percussion, he made a monumental choice that would later pave the way to dropping the 1's and 2's. His percussive nature and smooth ability to bust out Para-diddle-diddles quickly caught the eye of his music teacher. Before long he was performing with the high school band while only in 6th grade. Later becoming the lead timpanist for many powerful tracks, such as Blue Ridge Overture, and 2001 A Space Odyssey. On occasion he had the honor of soloing pounding drum rolls that would crash like tsunamis on Santa Monica coastline.

Inviting un-chartered horizons, and new friendships helped bring him close to the magnetized wheels of steel. Always uncovering methods to alter the music was his inspiration. Numerous classic mix tapes flowed from RBDJ?s bedroom in the late 80's and early 90?s. Some quoted as ?Before their time?, are still enjoyed today by some worldwide.

Through musical evolution, he has insisted on keeping it real and showing mad respect to artist that helped pave the way to his existence. Artist such as Digable Planets, Miles Davis, Robert Nesta Marley, Tribe Called Quest, Ravi Shankar, Talking Heads, Wu-Tang Clan, John Kelly, Smashing Pumpkins, and Donald Glaude were all instrumental when it came time to enter the studio.

Forever searching the dungeons of music led him right to the gates of Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Electronic music had been incorporated in some of his previous productions, but nothing like this! As a Shaman looks to the heavens, he passed through the doors of perception (LSD). Wide-eyed and open-minded, this experience would take precedence. ?I have never looked back musically, electronic music is my future?. RBDJ

A life filled of music seemed all but clear. However, his passion for his country came first. Enlisting within the USAF in 1997 allowed him to spread his musical message global. Officials took note of his musical background and recruited him into the Air Force band. Marching with honor and playing songs of freedom alleviated, which normally could have been rough times. Becoming a critical member of a flight crew by day, and responsible for bumping the Enlisted Club at night seemed prime training ground for what the future had in store. RBDJ disc jockeyed for fellow G.I.'s and locals in international hot spots. Panama, Spain, England, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and the Azores Islands were all thumb tacked on the map.

Relocating back to Los Angeles in 2001 allowed him to continue his passion of music. Teaming up with some of the most imaginative talent around has helped RBDJ expand his musical nature even deeper.
