Poetry - Help wanted

It's been a year today since I ran into Erzina and the world lost one of its hottest singles (talking about her of course, not me ). Anyway, I'm working on a little present for her: an album with a collection of pics of us together throughout the past year.

On the first page I want to put a poem, but that's a bit of a problem. Finding or writing one in Dutch isn't a biggy since it's my mothertongue. However, Erzina doesn't speak Dutch so it has to be in English...

The bad news is that I'm not familiar with English poets at all. It would be a really great help if you guys could give me some name drops or maybe even suggest a poem. I'm hopping over to Macedonia next week, so I have to upload the album tonight. In other words: thanks a bunch for the swift replies

dude, this might not be the right place to create a thread like this. I highly doubt a lot of these guys will post their feminine side. Well maybe Beanz might.

I use to write poetry to my wife, but you don't see me posting any of it.

In Dutch it wouldn't be a problem, but she doesn't understand that. And my English isn't good enough to write something myself, even though I'd prefer that.
