When Katrina struck New Orleans it left Jeff Devas' home & workplace in shambles. While the city recovered, Jeff took a vacation. He spent the next 50 days exploring Japan with his girlfriend, writing music all the while. 'Trains, Planes, and Sequencers' is the result-- a downtempo breakbeat debut artist album featuring lush soundscapes, emotional chord progressions, and catchy melodies.

some more info on jeff devas:
Who is Jeff Devas? He's what Jondi (of Momu) and Jonathan Lisle think is one of the hottest young producers in the world. He's had the attention of Matthew Dekay, John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, Luke Chable, and a host of other djs recognize his work in playlists in the dance community. Having done remix work for artists such as Sasha, Momu, BT, Highland, Ol Dirty Bastard, Terry Grant, Jaytech, Jacob Todd, AFK, and many more. Jeff's sound can only be described as unique, and part of this stems from Jeff's lack of formal training. As it may seem a hindrance, it was actually a blessing; Jeff's ability to pick out tonalities has led him to write some of the most beautiful hooks in all of dance music, and also, in his downbeat production. In addition to his merit as a producer, Jeff is an outstanding DJ. Having been dj'ing in clubs since he was 17, Jeff found at an early age what particular sounds moved the crowds. Having played in nearly every state in the Southern United States, Jeff is always up to the task of brining the freshest music to willing venues.
