I think this is the price Sasha and others (including Digweed, Cattaneo, etc) are paying for the frenzy of recording every live set these guys play nowadays. There're so many sets outhere that you could hardly expect to find top quality stuff all the time. I've stop downloading live sets because most of them are pretty bad. There are few DJs, Lisle comes to mind, that have made sure only some of their live sets are available on the web. Smart move imo.

do you see sasha and digweed as an extension of yourself? why cant people in this scene just accept it when a big name falls off? It happens everywhere, but oh no! in the prog house scene a big name can skate by on namesake and past achievements alone, regardless of the quality of music they play and if they fell off, fuck that, i may not have been at twilo on E, worshipping sasha and john digweed in "their hay day" (i am guessing thats what your referring to right jibgolly?, or we can take it back even further than that to about 1996 in england in which case the sasha commentary can only properly be had by maybe a few on this board) and i may not have been at 4 of the delta heavy shows, but i've seen sasha and john digweed live, i used to worship northern exposure, i've followed them religiously since i was in the 9th grade, so even tho i wasn't around in their "hayday" i'm quite clued in to what its like to be a worshipfull sheep, but lets not pretend this is something it isnt.

you make it sound like the music they play today is not worthy of being played. ahem, if you had been at space during wmc and seen for your own eyes what they did to that club you might feel differently. obviously this is going to be a losing battle with you since you dont feel "connected" here or you dont even like the music we love here. to each his own i cant fault you for your taste. i just dont agree with all the bashing. if its not your style, fucking move on. you dont see me starting threads about oakenfold saying how shitty he is. or going over to the techhouse board saying "i dont feel connected any more" BOLLOX! you call me sheep? lmao i follow music i like. if that makes me sheep then you are no better for following music you like.

I didn't read the rule that states "thou must not slate any DJ that this board loves" Everyones entitled to an opinion dude, just cause i started a thread about how disillusioned i am with dance music and Sasha in particular at the moment doesn't make me an outcast from the sanctity of the [ms] "brotherhood" If i am an outcast it is for other reasons.
Dude, i have been sick of "sasha bashing" for like 15 years, i've heard him slated for everything, stop-start sets, too leftfield and even a shit garage DJ and you just know that years later when Sasha is back in "vogue" they will boast that "yeah, i've been into Sasha for ages"
The fact of the matter is Sasha has sold out big time and i aint happy about it, and i have started a thread to discuss it, this is a messageboard and that what messageboards are all about, discussion.

however, it is funny that within a years time (maybe even less) you've made the switch from "yay sasha" to "sasha sucks"

I just aint into what he's playing at the moment, and the merchandising and website shit is really damn cheesy, it just fouls everything Sasha has ever been about. Sasha told Radio 1 to fuck off in 1991 when they approached him about becoming a "superstar radio jock" i bet now he would jump at the chance.
