but this guy has elevated himself to the status of rivera, jeter, ekersly, and the rest of the people who historically just did it.

every fucking time ortiz comes up to bat, and it actually can have a direct instant impact on the game, he hits a fucking home run. the call of it last night was awesome.

not yet. he has to earn that. its like the david wright&jose reyes vs arod&jeter. you have to earn those titles. and it takes repetitive, long term performance.

tim salmon carried the angels for awhile. ortiz is only at 3 years of dominance. he is rightfully on his way though.

because he has the best pure hitter since don mattingly behind him. i dont care if anyone brings up puljos, arod, bonds, ANYONE. manny is by far, the best offensive player i have ever seen in the last 15 years. dude could hit 3-4 in a lebanon warzone tomorrow.
