if anything I thought this mix was him coming back to center and finding a balance point between his old prog sound and when he jumped onto the tech bandwagon hardcore.

Erm....listenedto the first 25 minutes and so far it's ...............strange.
Not much really going on? Not sure how people can instantly say 'top 5 guest mixes ever etc'.

This is severe warm up music.

pickle - gotta agree though, every other one of his kiss mixes is quality, particularly 2003, that one is just amazing

This mix is good but not like the others in the past.

I personally like his wicked warm up type sets where he begins with crazy ass breakbeat house shit.

            I fucking love this mix...

Honestly guys, I have massive respect for your tastes and your opinions, and the fact that I?ve always loved the type of music that you still love is what brought me to MS, but...

...really, the fact that some you can?t appreciate how good this mix is completely beyond me...I still love the old dark melodic prog sound, but where do you peeps go for variety ? What kind of stuff beyond that do you listen to and enjoy?

Either I?m getting old or I?ve become really detached from some ot MS peeps? tastes...

                  Re: Sean Q6 Guest Mix

Definitely NOT one of my favorites. Im not syaing its a bad mix just not my taste. Parts of the mix I like and there are parts I dont like.

Im not into that slow mellow tech sound like right around the 3-4 min mark. That shit just puts me to sleep. Lately its seems like Diggy Sasha and others like Q are going over that way more and more which kind of sucks IMO.

That's why they make different music. I can't stand 90% of the music you guys rave about on here, but it's not "completely beyond me." Different strokes for different folks.

Cusick always began his Kiss guest mixes with "mellow sounds," what are you guys bitching about. One of his older guest mixes began with the Wax Poetic remix of Norah Jones for christ's sake. He seldom bangs it out but chugs along and fucks around with your head. It's great that people like Cusick, Fortier and Lisle are putting their on spin on the music being produced these days, as opposed to going all out on that electroshite bangwagon.

I thought Q6's mix was highly entertaining and "different". I am sure Sean put some work into this one.

I don?t think I made myself very clear.

I totally agree with the different strokes for different folks notion, but the thing is, I can appreciate the same music as guys like GregWhelan or chuckc, but I?ve gotten to a point where it would make me sick to just listen to that "good ole prog" stuff, you know? It?s just a personal thing, I?m constantly on the look out for new stuff, I?ve been like this ever since I can remember, but that?s me, I have to respect the fact that people are satisfied with just listening to the same stuff as they did 10 years ago.

Couldn't have said it better. One more I'd add to that list is Fanciulli, if he refines his style a little better he could be the next big thing. There's a hell of a lot of creativity behind the tracks in this mix by Q6. And to the people saying this is too electro... WTF?!

And I can hardly see how this is warmup music. Just because it's not banging? There's a lot happening in this set which could seriously mess with your mind in the middle of the night.

Well done Mr Cusick. One day I would seriously love to catch you live.

PS: Jenks one day you'll wake up and realise James Holden is the one without the clue
