ahhh still.. sounds like she should have pulled forward and taken a look herself rather than pulling right out... only driver one should trust is one's self imo... you just never know

just heard about the girl from the accident. she has a broken femur (sp?) and a crushed hip. guess she'll be flown here to the tampa hospital for a full hip replacement operation. im just glad she lived, despite her injuries she's lucky. she would have left behind a 2 year old daughter. no word on the guy in the truck. he must have been ok.

again i still havent heard or read anything official, this is all from my moms neighbor who works right where this happened.

            Re: sick to my stomach

It may sound callous, but these things get easier to stomach after a while. I have spent a lot of time working in ER's and the first few grusome things bothered me, but then after a while, it stops. Although, it still makes me queezy to hear about people getting injured, but for some reason, seeing it is okay.

I am applying to med school right now and I plan to go into emergency medicine and deal with this stuff full time. I am having this whole moral issue becuase I love when the trauma's come in. They are always more exciting, medicine happening at a rapid pace, boom boom boom, make a decision now, not later. Its a total adrenaline rush. But its at the expense of pain and suffering on the part of the patient and their family and I am not sure how to feel about that.

On another note, If any of you guys ever want to ride a motorcyle, please think twice about it. Or at least spend a night in your local trauma center first. We get a least a motorcyle accident a night where I work and many of these guys won't be leaving with both legs.
It's never too late to become the person you always thought you would be.

I hate motorcycles and I refuse to ever ride one.
