Well, once again the Portugese dance music scene manages to make a spectale of itself.

This past sunday morning at Pacha Ofir (basically the biggest club in the country at the moment), late into a DJ Vibe/Victor Calderone double bill, a crowd of between 60-100 started a riot inside the club.
They aparently benefited from the fact that there wasn?t absolutely any sort of control or body-search at the entrance, to gather inside Pacha and then proceded to cause all sorts of trouble, like invading the VIP area, assaulting the female dancers, escalading onto the DJ booth (while Vibe was playing!!), etc. until finally all hell broke loose, with bottles, chairs, sofas, flying everywhere, and just a handful of security armed with sticks faced the invaders, getting their asses kicked in the process, until the police finally arrived, being even forced to use tear gas inside the club!
A friend of mine told me he saw one of the "gangsters" breaking two full bottles on his chest and screaming "who?s in charge now?!?!?" at the security, completely off his mind
The fight spilled onto the parking lot, which, acording to reports resulted in many injured and blood everywhere...the police pursued a car with some rioters for a few miles, which resulted in a traffic accident...
well, enough... look at the video, it represents the end of he riot inside the club, so there?s not so much stuff happening at the time, but I think you?ll get the picture...
And there you go, a place which has played host to the biggest DJ?s in the world (Digweed, Tiesto, Carl Cox, Sander, etc.), will probably close now, due mostly to the greed of it?s owners, who wanted to make the biggest possible profit on the back of the most popular DJ in the country (Vibe). It?s always been a somewhat troubled place (associated with drug traffic), but this was surely the final straw.
