and anyone who thought that fuckhead john kerry would have been better..... well, you might be just as dumb as he is. he couldnt find a way out of a paper bag, and still to this day, buries himself with asinine comments. figures he is from massachusettes.

it came down to letting retard finish things (or try to), or handing it over to a man who openly disgraced leadership throughout his life, lead to 300K jobs moving out of the country with his nice little draft proposition on giving china a monster trade reduction.........and showed he couldnt handle his own comments, yet alone a debate where he has a speechwriter feeding his ear.

dont get me wrong, bush has surrounded himself with ppl who are 100% inept, and he isnt a good speaker, but the independent was the best candidate outside of dennis kuckhinch last time around.

I hate Bush as much as the next guy, but just pulling a Kerry and yanking troops from Iraq leaving it in complete disarray would be a just as big of a mistake as the way the war was handled in the first place. If you're thinking McCain is a war monger like Bush you're sorely mistaken. After being tortured for 5 years in the Hanoi Hilton, i can't help but think McCain wants the troops out of Iraq just as quickly as everyone else, but he wants it done right.

perfect explanation jenks.but this thread was more about looking ahead and realizing ''WHAT THE FUCK" there are two guys who could be great, but they pissed off party lines by thinking in reality, and already have zero chance. (guiliani and lieberman).. if it truly comes down to hillary vs mccain.... yao better get a pullout couch. cuz ill be in amsterdamn until this country educates itself and begins to apply logic and thought to who we are electing.

Unfortunately, this is 100% right. The biggest tragedy would be if we were to leave the country more fucked up than we found it and right now, that's exactly the situation.

Rumsfeld needs to get canned yesterday. For a long time, I was of the opinion that I didn't like him, but I liked a change in leadership in the middle of a war even less, but it's clear to me now that he's more a part of the problem than the solution. He needs to go. None of this, thank him for his service, give him a medal bullshit as he's allowed to "step down to pursue other interests." He needs to be fired to send a message to the rest of the world that we don't find the current situation acceptable and are trying to do something about it.

you wanna fix the war...... tell rumsfeld to go away and let the generals make the decisions. it is really as simple as that. if we gave them free reign, im sure we would have bin laden already, and iraq would be on lockdown and lot more weapons and bombs would be found.;(i dont mena WMD, i mean the shit they are using now)

Correct- this thread is about our next option. I'm just trying to defeat the notion that McCain, one of the upcoming options, is going to send more troops to iraq in the same manner Bush/Rummy did, as Localizer suggested, which just isn't true.

Um, no I didn't suggest he was sending more troops. I clearly stated that I'm not voting for him if he's not pulling troops out of Iraq. You can't rebuild over an ideology. You have corrupt contracters making bids and not completing jobs. You have no money being sent to train the Iraqi national guardsmen. We have a division of Sunni's and Shi'ites.

BTW, it's typical for a conservative to point at anyone who is against their hardline views as a hippy. I would have rather had Kerry then Bush because at least he would have pulled out only 1 year into the war rather than have a dumbass dig us into a deeper hole.
