Peloquin , I am not from Switzerland , I am just living here , i am orginally from the country that suffered the most and the first terrorism , Algeria ( read a bit about it its very intresting and sad at the same time ) and during that time not a single one in this world dared to help algeria, they said its a local problem , so sometimes when I see some people teaching and telling me about terrorism it makes me laugh. I have the canadian nationality also.

Violence will lead to more crazycounter violence, America look at the problem and don't just bomb who ever is not in accordance with your views.you think all these terrorists will let whats happening in Lebanon and the killing of these women and childern by Isreali army backed fully by the US government slip between their hands with out doing anything. Injustice lead to terrorism.

You think that if the US withdrew from all world affairs and just sat at home, said they were sorry and tried to make amends, that the terrorists would be satisfied and stop their violence? Don't be ridiculous. They'd kill all of us non-fundamentalist people in our sleep. While they may be responding in part to injustice done to people, I think they just truly believe that they have a mandate from God to forcefully convert the rest of the world into Islamic fundamentalist nutjobs - or kill them. They don't know "compromise". And they're sure as hell not going to put down their weapons if we put ours down and try to right any wrongs. They're just going to continue to spread like the disease they are and carry out their agenda.

You know, it must be nice for you to sit and enjoy relative safety, modernity, and luxury of Westernized Switzerland and talk about your support for those Middle Eastern militants. Have you thought about what your life would be like if the people you seem to sympathize with actually had their way? Let's just say...you wouldn't be living so well. You'd probably have to be a fundamentalist Muslim and do everything they do. You'd probably not be able to say or do anything against the Shariah doctrine, or you'd be tortured or killed. You'd probably be dirt poor. And if any female member of your family ever becomes a suspect of any infidelity, she might just be killed or mained without question. Oh, and you'd probably not be posting anything on the internet.

Maybe all of this sounds fine to you...but I think I speak for many of us when I say that we're NOT down with that. I'll take the West ANY day - even with all of its imperfections and injustices - over those religious lunatics.

I'm watching the news and they're saying the Pakistani goverment assisted in capturing the terrorists. This is great news because making allies with other countries has helped the UK and US from suffering another terrorist attack.

This sounds like a pretty well orchestrated plan which I'm guessing took sometime to put together. Hopefully, we can some of the terrorists to speak and find out more information about their network which possibly may be Al-Qaeda.

I don't want them to run te world exactly like you do,BUT give them back their land ( the backing of the US government to all the slaughtering thats happening right now in Lebanon)and then you can justify all what you said before , you can't aggress someone and blame them to be violent.give them back their land and stop backing Isreal and then if they do anything I am with you if you rip them to peaces, and don't judge how I live in Switzerland who told you that I didn't suffer in my life from Terrorism .

Anyway, not to interrupt the bickering, but just wanted to say nice job by the authorities and intel agencies in both UK and US. Good police work/intel work is what is going to save us, not wars or by martyring terrorists. In fact 9/11 would have been avoided if we had paid enough attention to the evidence (assuming that "we" didn't want it to happen, but that's a debate for another thread)
