Just moving to Portland, and is there anything going on here ? any good clubs or bars where to listen some good music ? I've been out a couple times but nothing that really gets me going, would appreciate some suggestions, thanx

the owner sold it and it re-opened as bliss... which caters to a more rap/rnb type crowd i believe. never been there since it closed as level (and it wasnt great when it was level!)

-holocene is my fave of the lot... been to many great shows there.
-pi-rem is new and has a killer sound system, but no liquor... beer/wine only (excellent sound system tho, and a great beer selection so okay with me!)
-noir is okay but underground and gets really stuffy...
-pala is more a prog crowd type thing, been there once and its a cool place, just not so much my thing.
-saucebox has some good stuff, techno-sol every thursday is a guaranteed good time, and they have "special events" ie non-locals every once in a while... troy pierce was there in jan, bruno pronsato and kate simko more recently.
-doug fir lounge is cool too but only really has shows i go to every few months (most recently diplo last monday and jamie lidell in april)

yea pelo, still down here for 1 more year. graduating this spring (accounting). dunno what ill be doing once i graduate. im sure ill figure somethin out though
