I find it hard to believe that a message board based on various genre's of electonic music is making fun of a pink shirt, besides, its supposed to sell, bottom line. Ya, none of us would wear one obv.
... $40 is typical (and cheap in many cases) for a t from any halfway decent design company (diesel, dada, fake london, g-star, dsquared... etc). i go out of my way to find stuff that i know i won't see on some half-wit wanker here in cincy, and if it costs $40 or $80 i don't really care. best of luck jeff... but (i mean no offense by the following)... if that t is some fruit of the loom jersey t or hanes "beefy" t with printing you won't like my post following a purchase... and for god's sake there had better not be a tag in the collar... i'm not trying to be harsh but if you fancy yourself a legit and long lasting clothing company you best go first class because you never, ever get another chance to make a first impression (at least here)... no matter what you do for a living.

Yes $40 is steep but only if it is a poor quality tshirt (basic hanes material etc etc)..however, if its good quality (diesel, guess, lucky etc) then $40 is a good deal.
Cool design...not girly enough for me

well. to be honest they are made with quality cotton shirts. and yes these specific shirts DO still have the regular tag within them, the next run will have a screened in image for where the tag would normally go. This is only the beginning.
$40.00 for a shirt that you can almost rest assured that no one within your city is going to have one. What you are getting is a shirt that no one else has. These are not limited edition like so many other companies say they are...AKA, Bathing Ape. But are true limited editions...and they don't cost $80.00 for that either. The shirt designs in the future will be much more designed.
And YES I am planning on doing a shirt like the avatar I have on here. Should be pretty freakin sweet.
Totally agree with this...if I'm looking at a cool t shirt that costs extra, the fit often quickly becomes the deal killer (assuming the design is cool and all that). Don't want to spend a lot of money on something that hangs on you all wide like a garbage bag. And the sleeves! You want form fitting sleeves, not the wide ones that poof out around your arms. And ones that have at least a bit of length and don't just barely make it past your armpit like most "cool" t shirts seem to...
Miro, you may think that way...and I totally understand your convictions, But there are a lot of people that don't think that way. Most of the people that have already purchased one do not want a shirt like that. They want something that feels very comfortable while looking good. If I were to get a special run a shirts made like that, I would really run the chance of not selling no where near as many as I could the other way.
And to understand the symbolism behind the 75, well it is the year of my birth...and I didn't want to call the company by my name. The premise behind the inverted lettering is a way of straying from the staus quo and going your own direction in life.
It's got to fit well, and the material has gotta be unique in some way, otherwise anyone could just get prints of some symbol thrown on a shirt and toss it on ebay selling it at a huge markup.
Guess it's possible that I don't understand your target market though?
