that 2005 essential mix from nikki beach was an absolute corker in my opinion, one of the best sets i have ever heard, i still adore it.

nope, the king of all essential mixes, desyn's first one aired in October of 2004. it may not sound as groundbreaking anymore, but the electro sound wasn't nearly played out at the time.
