    They might have facillitated you getting that money, but they simply do not have the legal authority to order anyone to do anything. It's not a court, nor is it even a government entity. Perhaps things work differently up there than they do elsewhere, but my guess is that they pressured Alienware to make it right and Alienware relented. A company's dealings with the BBB is purely voluntary...

      ^^ toasty is correct (as always)... perception is reality and many companies, when pressured, will "fix" an issue if they feel there will be a large enough negative impact, whether or not they are obligated to do so...
