    Hurricane Katrina, Revisited

Was watching a story on New Orleans this morning, 1 year after Katrina. Pretty amazing the state that city is still in. The most incredible part was the fly over -- there are entire neighborhoods that were basically just leveled by the storm and reclaimed by the environment. Modern ruins -- very surreal...

Miss had the leveled cities and the most dramatic damage

New Orleans was fine until after the storm passed and then it began to flood, but it is also a shit hole. I hope it gets whiped out along with their idiot mayor and governor.

yes I would. Have you been to S Florida?

NO is a shit whole. The crime rate there is unreal. On top of that, their mayor is a fuckn idiot. I am tired of hearing about NO. People need to remember that more life threating and devistating damage was done in Miss.

while i dont share your sentiments about NOLA, i hear you on the mississippi damage, its terrible there too, maybe worse than NOLA. im also in agreement that the mayor and govener are idiots, and obviously the ppl too, since they reelected nagin b/c he played the race card as soon as he was in trouble. no one asks him or the governer why they turned down the school bus unions offer to send in the buses, and why the national guard wasnt called in when the national weather service told them two days in advance it was going to become epic. or why the levee supervision board was handling zoning hearings rather than looking at the levees all those years. and there is so much more BS involved....

just hope that mother nature can hold off for at least another year so they can get thier shit in order. NOLA is a wonderful city, and a place everyone should visit at one point.

My reply is not on the hurricane matter but on your perspective - obviously you judge the ppl by reelecting an idiot - so you can understand why people see americans as idiots for reelecting Bush, dont you?!

And if Bush gets reelected again I think I will change my opinion about US which at the moment is still very much on the positive side

                          what's strange about it?

First it's wet, then it's dry. Surely you must've experienced this yourself, no?
