jan, the upper was the after shot, look at the backround trees. in the top photo they are uprooted, then in the bottom, they are in the ground. i dont think a hurricane put trees into the ground.

by the time this city comes close to rebuilding, another hurricane will probably wipe it out...sad to say.

read up on the efforts of the ARMY corp of engineers. as long as they get some time to build the dams they should be alright. i tell you one thing, the board that was intended to oversee the levee programme should have all its members over the last few years thrown in jail.
