can i give a ditto to pickle, this guy if anything should be revered, he used the fact that he had become a househgold name because ppl laughed at him to spread the word about saving other species. he did nothing but in his life, never took much from it as he funneled all his money into the zoo his parents founded, and used success to help others. rare breed and OUR species needs more of them.

He has been bitten by a poisonous snake. And, with your vast wealth of knowledge, I'm sure you are aware of the time he took his 1 month old son into a croc pen whille feeding the croc with a raw chicken. No matter how many other people were there, surely you would have to agree a crocodile pen is a highly inappropriate place for a little baby.

The guy believed he was invincible and sadly he wasn't.

death happens and people cope. we all know that. they didn't even know the guy yet they're going out of their way to say some words about him and you're badmouthing them? if one person's way of coping with the news is saying they respected him, you should shut up and let them honor the dude.

You all know his wife and children!!!!!!!!!!! So you are personally going to explain to his children why Daddy isn't going to be around anymore..!! His wife at least knew the dangers, his children don't.

same here i was very bummed out....

they had a neat documentary on animal planet last night called "Confessions of the Crockidile Hunter"

really an amazing documentary....really explained the whole "baby bob" incident with the crock in the correct context....They actually showd the entire episode and it clearly shows a different view than what the media pumped out there....

they also showed his daughter and inteviewed her.....i feel so sorry for the kids....you could see how much they loved there father and wanted to be just like him....its just to bad it had to end in such a freak way.

and like most of you stated above pretty much all of his money he made he pumped back into his zoo or to buy up land in australia to prevent developers/hunters from killing off wildlife.....

he was definatly one of a kind....and his true passion and enthusiasm he brought everysingle day of his life is unmatched.

i am just saying that what the media showed on tv wasnt the whole story!!! I am not saying that he should have done that but if you saw the whole footage like i saw it didnt seem as crazy as the 5 second shot the media showed the world.

wow, you really don't listen to anything anyone has to say. it was a freak accident, you can't argue that. period. end of story.

and yes, who didnt hear about his kid in the croc pen. they also showed a clip of him explaining himself, and it was a valid explanation. i really don't think his kid was in any danger, but leave it to the politically correct media to jump on a public figure anytime they do the slightest thing that doesnt sit well with them. if parents were locked up anytime they put their kid in danger, a good portion of the parents on this planet would be locked up.

but feel free to keep judging the guy, maybe he'll be able to appease you at the gates of heaven, cause he definitely owes you an explanation. x1000

^^^^exactly...and if you see the entire footage with the camera view showing the enire pen you can clearly see there are safety people all over the place ....and the media never showed the 10 pieces of meet the crock had been fed prior to him bringing the baby out. once u see the enitre video and it doesnt seen nearly as crazy as the media portraid it....
