Best prank I ever heard of was out of MIT. Freshman leaves for the weekend to see his girlfriend. While he's gone, his dormmates fill his room top to bottom with crumpled up computer paper. Then they removed his door, plastered over the opening, installed a working light fixture in its place and then repainted the entire hallway to remove any evidence that anything was amiss.

When he arrived, all of his friends denied ever having seen him before.
