    http://sports.espn.go.com/rpm/news/stor ? id=2575660

wow. i never saw senna, so he is the single best driver i have ever seen. i guess he accomplished everything, so why not retire. shit, he is the highest paid athlete ever, including tiger woods, michael jordan, and alex rodriguez. must be nice.

i cant blame him...if i had that much $$ i'd retire and buy a large portion of a tropical island and never be seen in public again. plus, its pretty good to retire alive and uninjured in that sport.

seriously, does anyone even realize that when he signed his current marlboro scudiera contract and the endorsements deals within it, the total value of the contract was upwards of quadruple the value of ALL the endorsements that nike and reebok have handed out. i once read in forbes that his formula 1 career has made him about 60 million a year, and that only factored in the ferrari/marlboro pay.

I think its time for him to exit, he is not the fastest anymore. Continuing to race will, a> unnecessarily run up the score of his already ridiculous records, and b> dillute his legend as he starts to get eclipsed by younger, less talented but hungrier drivers.

He always said he'd step aside when that happened, and at this point in time he does not have an answer for Alonso in a straight up fight, so... bye.

i can't blame him. especially with all the rule changes that in my opinion were designed to kill ferrari's technical advantage which made schumi damn near unbeatable.

                    ^^^ damn straight.

However, schuey is still the best in the business atm. Regardless of rule changes and all this other crap people throw out there. He's only 2 points behind or whatever it is. Ferrari are infront in constructors... lets see what happens!

But, it's possible schumachers career could be looked upon as a negative. His poor sportsmanship during racing etc. But, I have a feeling he'll be looked upon as a great driver, and not for his antics on the circuit.
