FAO VA Residents (maybe Toasty can help?)

who've bought a new car in state ? I got tagged with Consumper processing fees $299 and some other charges increasing the price by that $380. Dealer said that every dealer has to charge that.

Can anyone share any info on this or where I can find info? I've googled around but haven't found anything constructive yet

I won't be back until next Tuesday, so if Get Carter is the correct answer, I would appreciate of someone else posts a new cap for me

these are tax laws enacted for high ticket items. many states have them. we have a rough 3% charge up here.
