Chicago house star DJ Sneak has unveiled details of his new artist album Housekeepin? which includes a controversial track The Gas, celebrating inhaling nitrous oxide (aka laughing gas).
"I wanted to write a song about doing nitrous oxide," said Sneak. "It?s a true story, being at a shady after-hours with kicking beats and the gas.
Sneak also revealed his new album includes tracks sounding ?like Steely Dan or the Doobie Brothers and Funkadelic?, though insisted he remains fully committed to house music.
"I?m keeping house music alive and hopefully taking it to people who wouldn?t normally listen to it," he explained.
"Further to that I?m cleaning all the shit off the shelves and putting some good music out." First single Que Pasa is out on September 13 on Magnetic Recordings; the album follows soon after.
