    Please Help

Hey all i have a pretty good mp3 collecion now. So here is what i want to do. I have a main folder named tracks and in it is bout 2000 mp3's. Now i want to print up all the names and artists of these tracks. How do i do it. I used i tunes and xported the file into xml format. But how do i print up or look at the file. Also wit itunes there is a thing in the menu that says export library. But when i do that it comes up with all this weird writing. It will take me too long with the notepad so that is outta the question. Can winamp do it?? how do i read a xml file that has just the Name of track and artist?? any programs that can help me. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

    Hey Johns,

In winamp you can export the tracklist as a html file.

To do this, at the bottom of the playlist, click on MISC, then MISC OPTIONS then GENERATE HTML PLAYLIST. Or CTRL+ALT+G (with playlist "selected")

Then, just edit the html to make it look how you want it to.

        Re: Please Help

        open up a DOS prompt.

        manuever to the folder.

        enter: dir *.mp3 /b > files.txt

there. instant text file. However your files are named is how it'll show up in the file.

Then just use Find/Replace to help fix up the listing either in Notepad or Word.
