What I am afraid of is the next enron is going to be the US government.

Let me say it this way. Corporate america is subject to some heavy oversight and regulation. Even with all that Enron still happened. In contrast, the government's operations and economic reporting have been subject to oversight solely by Congress. Pretty scary.
