But please don't go hanging shit on different religions which have absolutely NOTHING to do with the issue at hand.

I read the article and couldn't draw any such links, but I'd be interested in your evidence which proves me wrong.

The way I see it, this problem exists in your society and more specifically your school system. Last time I checked America's society and most specifically school system is pretty lacking on the religion front.

Your country has a severe culture problem which needs addressing, the proof is the countless school shootings which have been reported over the decade. Please don't blame religion, which is an innocent bystander to all this.

PS: I'm not a bible basher and I'm not trying to preach anything. I just found Kobe's statement a little idiotic.

Schools need to do more to stop bullies. More groups or clubs should be created to make sure every kid has a chance to fit in. Sometimes these kids are picked on for the way they look even before people really get to know them. Society is cuel.

I got picked on from day on in primary school by some fucker. At the end of the last day I've put him in the hospital. I can still remember how sweet it felt to turn his face into red mush and see the blood gulping out. From that day on, nobody fucked my shit up again at school. But nevertheless, you've got a point Eddie... Hatred can grow deep.

Man, I've been put to therapy by such people and know exactly how it feels...it took a long time before I stood up, almost broke someone's neck - but it sure did help. In the Netherlands there is much attention for bullying at schools, and our govt has initiated several plans to train teachers to recognize and deal with such situations,as well as the parents. I cannot fucking believe that someone who finally stands up for himself gets expelled, that every single teacher is blind and deaf to what is happening among the kids.

I'm not sure why people do the things they do. But I truly believe if American parents were more involved in their childrens lives and interacted with them more than they "had" to, we might have a different world. It doesn't just happen in sleepy little towns in the bible belt, but big cities as well. You hear more about the little town incidents because they are more shocking. Our media plays a big role in shaping our society as well. The US national news is completely depressing, from child molesters in the senate to the schools. If they would report some of the warm fuzzy feel good stories, maybe more good deeds would occur. Think about it, if you were exposed to negativity for the first 15 years of your life, it would effect you.
