Having blasted Kerry for supporting cuts in intelligence spending as "deeply irresponsible," Bush has now nominated Porter J. Goss to be Director of Central Intelligence, a Florida Representative who as Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, evidently co-sponsored legislation during the same time period to cut intelligence even more than Kerry.
