    You could always try craigslist. Post an event and ask for people going to contact you to form a group.

          no shame in going to a club alone johns. i used to do it in my pillin' daze and always met a gaggle of new peeps. if only for the evening some of them were my best friends in life.
          one thing is sure, you will meet more like minded people at the club than at work or at a pub. go out and be adventurous. life is too short to pass up having fun, just cause you don't have a sidekick.

            Second all of this . One thing I would say is DON'T go up to people and say you're all alone! Go , listen and dance, the rest will come. I love going out on my own, and while I've met heaps of great people sometimes I wish I didn't know quite as many!. I think I will have to invest in one of those "F**K off I'm dancing" t/shirts.

            But you have to stop missing out on seeing you favorite Djs, in Australia they don't come around that often!! btw Do you post on any of the Australian forums??
