We first flew into Sharm El Sheikh, the next day we flew to Luxor, took a bus to Asuan then had 3 day ride with a boat on the Nile from Asuan back to Luxor and for the last 2 days flew back to Sharm El Sheikh! We had a busy schedule, starting at 7am to catch the lower temperatures (30 degrees celsius - 45 in the afternoon).

Love the Red sea and the corals and the colorfull fishes inside - amazing beyond words!
The Nile is the oposite - dirty but has a soul of its own!

nice pics. One question Kat, how were the people to tourists?
The african part od Egypt is more polite and not so greedy although you get asked for tips all the time, the asian part is more piranha like - you cannot even look at some souvenir thinking that you're not going to buy it - they sell you everything! And they get offended if you dont bargain - means that you have no respect for the money!
Besides that is ramadan at the moment and some people were quite tense until 6pm when breakfast starts.

Its not unsafe but in some parts our bus had to have a police escort becouse of the incident that happened not so long ago, other than that ordinary people like tourists - they live on the tips. One us dollar gives them 2 days of food.

How did they treat you? Did the men and women treat you differnly (i don't know if that question is even relevant as I know next to nothing about egyptian culture)
Usualy theres not so many women to be seen and almost every public employee is man.

Yes I took those pics myself and the camera is 'nada especial' - Olympus C-360 3.2
          I took like 600 shots.

We never saw the pyramids so I have no idea how Cairo looks like (18 mil ppl) must be a different place all over. Deffenetly going back soon, I made some friends and have a place to stay.

          Wonderfull!
