anyone ever do work w/the Peace Corps?

I'm playing around with things to do after I graduate in May. Some kind of service like the peace corps would be good for me, I think.
Anyone ever volunteer for them? experiances?

I have a friend who is in cairo, egypt right now with the peace corps, he says its off the chain over there, great chance to experience a different culture and help people out.
