I'm guessing he gets given a fair few promo mixes, and if he has heard of the dj or has links with him he will play it. I can't imagine he listens to every guest mix, very few in fact

his selection criteria is if he has a personal relationship with the guest djs or not, he needs to get more djs on his show that incorporate sounds OTHER than prog house. like terry francis or craig richards.

no, i don't agree. if he were to do that his show would loose its identity.

Re: i wonder what's digweed's selection criteria for his guest DJs

from what i have listened on his shows, he does play djs that are under his label wich is understendable, he tryes to promote them, and new djs that are hot for the moment, with great new remixes and stuff, basicly like pete tong does in the essential mix, except for the trance part, but mainly he stayes in the progressive house area
i dont know why carl cox was never a guest dj on his show, or even pete tong
i know they both have there own shows, but pete featured a lot of digweed's mixes on his show

can you imagine Pete Tong on Digweed's show? no thanks... they'd be fighting for the mic.

What do you mean? He?s featured techno artists and DJ?s, breakbeat artists and DJ?s, why not tech-house DJ?s, like the aforementioned, or Terry Lee Brown Jr., or The Timewriter?

Most of the guest on transitions are DJ thats are in Digweed's Bedrock Label. The guest DJs are also popular DJ such as Sasha and Zabiela.
There is no funk without the bass.

If you posted this on the GU site you would probably get a reply. Mathew Roberts from King Unique regularly posts on there and would be able to answer this. And is usually happy to help out.
