    Northern California vs Southern california???

So, I have been living in Sacramento for a month and a half. It blows out here. There are no night clubs that suit my taste; I haven't found many record stores, and when I do, I haven't found much of a selection. It is a big valley out here, but at least people drive fast, sometimes too fast....

Anyways, where do you prefer to live? I have been to SF a couple of times for weekend trips. Lovely city, from what I saw. Still haven't been to the nightclubs over there. Have been thinking about heading down to LA to visit some friends, and possibly relocate. How is it down there?

This post is a bit scattered. I have alot of feelings about where I have been living. I am very curious about what you guys and girls think. Any suggestions?
    thanks

    L.A. is cheaper than S.F.

Re:: Northern California vs Southern california???

i don't live in either, but have spent a good amount of time in both.

they are sooooo different from each other..
both have a lot of nites going, perhaps los angeles with a wee bit more? i love the city of sf.. the restraunts are good, the clubs are nice, the parks are lovely and the history behind it is really cool. it also has seasons, which los angeles doesn't have so much.

i think both cities have great vibes either way. los angeles is more happy yay yay happy vibe, where sf could be a bit more subdued, altho they are happy to. (that probably doesn't make sense.... but it does to me.. )

btw. its only a 5 hour drive to and from sf to la. so either place you live.. you always have that option.

It's the "Nocal vs Socal debate".

No wonder los angeles has no seasons, it's stuck all around by mountains trapping a lot of that smog.

if you feel like rent a 1 bedroom apartment for $2500.00/month, then go for s.f.

l.a. is cheaper to live in.

SF's vibe sucks right now. 1015 folsom is dead. Both Release and Spundae - the main promoters of that club for the last 10 years, have abandoned the place. Ruby skye is nice, but the sound right now blows. The crowd at Ruby Skye now consists of tourists, (including 50yo's), bachelorette parties, and the transvestites preying on dumb out of town guys that used to lurk at 1015. I was there last weekend and saw all of this. The club has potential, but it's located in the hotel district near all the shopping, so it just brings in that kind of crowd. For an SF club, I'd check out either Mighty or Mezzanine. Mezzanine is best on Friday's unless you're a gay male.

As for LA, I think it's much better, even though i'm only an hour from SF. I'd go to Avalon any night if I could.

SF all the way. Lived there for a while and have the fondest memories. LA is really cool for a couplo of days, I really like it, but I could never live there, no Sir.

you need to find out where the good events are and stop going to the big main stream parties on the weekends. have you ever been out on a wednesday?

SFs vibe does not suck...if you go to the right places.
