Do you use ear plugs? If so what ones do you use? Need to pick up a pair but dont want to spend a fortune....

i use them in clubs when i'm not dj'ing...don't know what kind they are but i had a pair that i really liked then dropped them on a club floor and do not ever wanna put them in my ears again so i threw them away...i got for the ones that are really firm and thick foam, they take out more sound than the cheap ones.

Don't get 'ear plugs', get 'ear attenuators'. They don't just muffle out the sound, but lowers it by 5, 7 and even 10db depending on what you need. They are molded and fitted to your ears and they work great. You still get all the frequencies, but just at a lower volume.

Can get it done for about 120 bones, but it's WELL worth it.

get anything you can get that is a thick foam plug, you need your ears for the rest of your life. you can hear the tracks with their full fidelity at your house.

if you're willing to get some real ear filters you can do the expensive route, but i'd rather just go with my $2.00 pieces of red foam.

Sticking foam in your ears just seems to ruin the whole experience. How can you even have a conversation with someone? Those attenuators seem like a very good idea. Afterall, you don't want the tracks to sound like dog shit. A couple of hundred bucks is well worth it if you're an avid clubber.

i can hear everything just fine with my foam in my ears. And they don't ruin my experience, they make it even better, as I know at the end of the night i'll be able to drive home and not have to worry about hearing the ringing of my ears...just the sound of the road.

And they help your ears a hell of a lot better than sitting in a 120DB club for four hours without ANY hearing protection.

I picked up some of those foam ones a couple of weeks ago and am well happy with them. €1.50 you cant go wrong

and having a conversation with someone wearing foam earplugs is a lot easier than regular in a club...as the earplugs mostly filter out background noise. I now don't have to put my ear up to someones mouth to hear what they say and than God for that!!!
