Anyone a member of this 3D metaverse? Just read an article on it (and others like it). Sounded interesting and kinda lame all at the same time. Anyone have any experience with it that can shed some light on it?

i liked playing WoW until it became too time consuming to do anything, but i have read a decent amount of second life and it seems just too much for me. i mean paying friggin real money for clothes and other crap people make in the game? give me a break. also there is some woman who is making a living by buying property / land space in the game and selling it in real life for real $$$

its a MMO game minus the cool fighting and missions and shit
its just a world of people role playing online with no gaming to ityour life is an occasion, rise to it.

wow or everquest2 if you want something like this to be a timesink game, they are a lot more fun, have tons more to do, and generally are done wonderfully. the graphics on EQ2 are the sickest graphics i have ever seen for a game.....your life is an occasion, rise to it.
