If you look at the list of top 100 DJ's then there are 12 Trance DJ's which make up the top 20, a couple more if you include the likes of Marco V. Is this really a fair representation of where people go out clubbing and who they listen to, or is it a case of who releases the most mix cd's?
Ironically the awards were held at Fabric, those of you who go out in London will know that there is not so much as an iota of trance played there. Instead you have some of the most talented DJ's from around the world playing there week in week out but they can barely scrape into the top 100.
Craig Richards for example - Saturday nights have been entirely built around him. He has played there week in week out for 7 years now, normally in the main room. He plays with a string of big name international guests and it seems none of them get a look in either (Villalobos, Luciano, Tiefschwartz).
Is it me or the rest of the people who have voted who are being narrow-minded?
