my primary function on here is sharing sets in the P+R section. I don't particularly post much in GYY, politics or the like because I tend to talk about this kind of stuff with my family and friends. I only really use the board to talk about the music because none of my mates are into electronic stuff

I think a lot of people are drawn here for the tunes, and some ultimately become engaged in other sections as well. I used to religiously d/l the sets and would post from time to time to try to stay engaged. Now, I d/l the sets pretty rarely and post much more frequently just because I enjoy the discussion.

I actually started out posting mostly in the Politics section because it's something I tend to be pretty passionate about and am already familiar with. I spent a lot of time lurking before posting much in the GYY section, though -- frankly, I'm not one that typically likes to post just to post, and it was a little while before I felt like I was familiar enough with the GYY forum to plunge in. There's a bit of a learning curve.

I wouldn't want this board to get much bigger. I like seeing the same faces around here on a regular basis. I feel like I know some of you at least a little bit and I like hearing whats going on in your lives (the weddings, home renavations the child births etc.).

It's nice that when someone says "cheers mate" you know that they actually mean it.

I like this board because people seem to be all pretty passionate about music and the same DJs. I've been lurking for a long time before joining and I do like the other topic sections.
Seems it is a good blend of people form the music industry and other - and none tend to take things too seriously which is always comfortable

I'm still impressed that this place has stayed pretty much drama-free for the entire time that I've been here. Most other boards I check out have multiple members who start shit on a semi-regular basis. Not here though, everyone is pretty respectful and the mods seem to snuff out any problems well before they get out of hand.

I mean, how many memebers have been banned from this board? Other sites seem to have members booted all the time, can't remember the last time that happend 'round these parts.
