yea, i agree with it being underground, but they cater to a certian crowd generally on either friday or saturday nite it is always packed and always lots of fun with an up for it crowd. some of the most responsive people go there. very clued into music. and ready to party.
It's always been packed the 4 or 5 times I've been there. I guess they really don't need Sasha, or anyone for that matter. Great club, great atmosphere and great people.
I guess Fabric must be a lot like Lux here in Lisbon. They seldom, if ever, have big names there, yet they´ve carved out their own unique niche in the whole club scene in the country, and it´s always packed, The only concession to the "mainstream" is DJ Vibe´s monthly residence there.
They established a philosophy and gained an identity through it.
Personally I have gone off Fabric. Still one of the best clubs around imo, quality music and its always busy like people have said. The problem for me is the people who go there now. It is full of tourists who are not into house music particularly and have no idea what is on, they just hear the name Fabric and decide that is what they doing this Saturday. As a consequence the atmosphere and appreciation/crowd reactions for the music has dropped considerably which has sent it right down in my opinion. Dont really go anymore which is a real shame..... Unless Digweed was there of course!

I do agree that this kind of place eventually turns into a haven for scenesters, hipsters and chinstrokers, so that probably deteriorates the atmosphere. People eventually go there to see and be seen, it´s "the place to be", if you´re "in the know". Music is secondary.
I´ve heard people complain about this regarding Lux, so I guess Fabric is the same (and I completely agree with the tourist spot comment too).

Yep, it can be tourist central, with strange asian people taking photos in the toilets.
That is total bollocks, the crowd in fabric sucks beyond words nowadays without sasha playing there
Still the best soundsystem in London
Half rubbish! Seeing sasha at fabric was probably the worst main room experience ive ever had at the club. Full of rude, obnoxious people hell bent on pushing their way past so they can look at the dj. SO what? You can still hear the fecker even if you cant see him. Left after 30 minutes, and went to see Marco Carola in room 2. Granted it did get better about 5am.
Best soundsystem in London? Hmm.. The End comes very close. And the new setup in Heaven for Bedrock was pretty awesome to be honest!

Did exactly the same last time I went to see Sasha there, was an absolute joke

Heaven a definite contendor, not so sure about the end. Doesnt have the same bass to it as fabric and Heaven imo..

The End has a better sound system? You have got to be kidding. In terms of sound system then nothing even comes close to Fabric (room one or two).
I have been to several clubs around the world all claiming to have an amazing system, they pale in comparison. Most notably Crobar in NYC
room 1 in fabric is the best sound i've heard in a club. its incredble. no where in london comes close imo. there's a big big difference with 'loud' and 'quality'.

indeed. Fabric has quality - especially room 1. I have however come out of a 6 hour room 2 drum&bass fest feeling a little numb - sickeningly loud but still of a high quality.
As for The End - perhaps i need to visit again, ive only been twice. Did enjoy it though.
