For the last 2 days I?ve seen my mailbox be bombarded with "friend requests" for all these MySpace clones that have popped up lately.
I?m talking about places like Hi5, Tagged, Facebox, etc.
I usually delete them or reject them, but then I always get phone calls from people asking "hey, why didn?t you accept my invitation? It?s cool, we can talk and shit, get to know other people...". Well, what are we doing on the phone right now genius? What happened to going out for a cup of coffee on weekends and shit?
Ok, that?s a whole other discussion, but what is it that besides MySpace, makes people get on every one of these clones, like they?re making some kind of collection?
People are buying into this fake sense of community in droves, and it all seems like copycat marketing scams to me.
