How do you listen to new music???

Ok, this is a strange question but I was curious to know how other people would "prepare" themselves to listening to new music.
I tend to just listen to it, if I don't like it and if it comes from a trusted source, I give it another try or two.
If it's some fucked up music that will be harder to comprehend, i keep it for my car or my sound system at home when I can get into it better.

joint + headphones when i have bought an album/compilation. for the tons of livesets/promos i listen to i tend to listen to them whenever i can.. setting doesnt really matter then. the ones i like get the same attention as the compilations though.

i must admit that i rarely if ever give music a second chance. if i cant find anything to hold my interest ill drop it.. there are so much other good music to be found .

^^^ well yeah, but I found out that maybe out of 6 song I listen, maybe one is worth keeping, so there is real time and energy going in there, that's why, I always "hope" the second time will do it - and it sometimes does.

I listen to music i know is gonna be mellow in bed.. I listen to sets either on the move or before i go out drinking with the boys. I find too much music at once is abad idea as you just dont give enough time to really get into a new set/album.

I remember when every new Global Underground album came out it was like a holiday. We used to get peeps together, eat a couple things and cruise around tampa blasting that shit with our rediculous soundsysytems. i really miss those days.( I think i just started gurning there for a second) Either that or we'd just meet up at someones house and just jam there. Yeah now days I just pop it in the car and its the sound track to my commute.

I listen to most of my music in the office. But when I get the chance to appreciate a full set without interruptions (like when I'm walking around), I listen to music on my UM2. Every piece of music always sound different on them

Me and my boys used to do the same! except they lived in gated communities..funny thing, it would be like 5 in the morning and we were haulin ass around the place in our cars like it was some sort of race track....rollin our asses off. music just rippin out the speakers...felt like mario kart at warp speed!..wow!!! yep, felt the gurn come on too, haha
